Make Your Products Glow In The Dark
Glow intensity and duration are the most important features for glow-in-the-dark products. Typical applications range from security markers, safety equipment, appliances, toys, and baby care products to fishing and camping items. OnColor™ Lux Colorants are formulated with phosphorescent pigments that provide a glow-in-the-dark effect lasting as long as 10 hours. Glow duration depends on resin type, activation energy, and pigment loading properties. The portfolio includes typical glow hues like yellowish green, blue, blue-green, aqua, and violet for a wide range of polymers, including PP, ABS, PC co-polyester, PA6, PA66, and PA12. Custom solutions can be developed to match specific hue requirements. The process of energy accumulation and emission is unlimited.
Some molding adjustments, such as lowering back pressure, reducing cycle time and adjusting temperature profile, may be required to achieve the maximum effect because of the colorant shear sensitivity.
